Like that one special teacher all of us remember, our staff is highly supportive, enthusiastic and committed to each student’s success. Our courses are taught by professional teachers and trainers. They love to teach and have the ability to truly inspire. Most of our staff return year after year and their experience shows up in the excellence of our programs. |
Our overall student to staff ratio is four-to-one. We keep the ratio low, which means personal attention and appropriate supervision for campers from a variety of staff members. We realize, however, that the ratio is only as good as the staff we hire. We hire the best.
A typical program employs the following staff:
Facilitators (3 - 4 per program)
Our Facilitators teach the academic and life skills curriculum, set the program’s direction and tone, and provide inspiration and guidance. Most are full-time accredited teachers and trainers, many with advanced degrees, and are chosen for their impressive teaching ability, enthusiasm and rapport with students. Facilitators are required to participate in over 300 hours of Quantum Learning training held throughout the year.
Team Leaders (14 - 18 per program)
Our Team Leaders excel at making even the most reluctant student feel at home. As positive role models, their enthusiasm is catching. Team Leaders guide teams of 12-16 students through the program. Most of SuperCamp’s Team Leaders are pursuing degrees in college and have peer counseling, leadership or tutoring experience.
Counselor (1 per program)
Our Counselors are professional, licensed or certified psychological counselors. Whether it’s homesickness or just needing someone to talk to, the presence of a professional counselor supports the emotional well-being of all our students.
Wellness Person (1 per program)
Since wellness is a top priority at SuperCamp, a Wellness Person is assigned to each program. Should sore throats, stomach aches or emergency situations arise, our medically-trained health and safety expert is always at hand.
Administrative Staff (4 per site)
The Site Administrator ensures camp runs smoothly by overseeing all details concerning business operations. The Office Manager supports the Site Administrator and is responsible for performing clerical functions. The Logistics Manager coordinates staff and supplies so programs run flawlessly for optimal learning. The Products Coordinator takes the digital photos and runs the SuperCamp Success Store.
