Keeping Balance
Being in balance means your mind, body and emotions are in alignment. You make time for all important areas of your life. Consequently, you function at your most efficient level.
Staying in balance is an ongoing process demanding continual adjustments. Don't expect to achieve balance on a daily basis; sometimes it may be more like a monthly basis. At times, one area of your life may need more attention than others; a crisis may arise at home, or you might have heavy deadlines at work.
Staying in balance takes vigilance. You may need to check in with yourself daily and ask yourself, "What do i value? What is really important to me?" Seemingly conflicting things come up every day that need to be weighed. If you are honest with yourself and acknowledge that you're making a choice, you will find it easier to maintain you balance.
As you juggle your time between work and home, remember it's also important to take time for yourself. We all function best when our minds, bodies, and emotions are in balance.
It is important to take time to recognize and celebrate the milestones in your life, and the lives of your friends and family, and co-workers.
